I just knew we were going to the Final Four. I remember (LSU Coach) Dale Brown did a class thing.

I knew coming in it would be a tight match. When you face a team for a third time, you're going to get that.

I knew it would be (important) from 103 to 125. I thought if we could get three out of four, we would be fine. At 112, we were fortunate to get six points there.

I'm a firm believer in doing the little things right. We're not as mature as we need to be. We need to be mature as a group. I think our big thing is that we are going to get better.

It really opened their eyes to the effort and mental preparation that goes into preparing for tough dual meets. I've seen more intensity in the wrestling room since we've gotten back and more people staying after practice.

It's a great experience. I have five guys going on this trip who were there two years ago. I told (the rest of the team) they would never experience another tournament like this, and those five agreed.

We also have a tough schedule. I knew we would need it to get us better.

We've wrestled a tough schedule and it's what got us ready for this match. You can't expect to (be dominant) year-in, year-out. We're like anyone else. We have people graduate and have to replace them. We're wrestling on tradition right now.

I was caught up in that mess. I won't be coaching football next year. I'm just trying to keep my focus on wrestling and distance myself from that.

Lance wrestled a kid who was high energy and high intensity, and he was able to get it back at the end. It was a great match. You usually don't see kids go at it, at that pace, for six or seven minutes straight like that in high school.
